Wine Tour 101
Tours are made up of adults (19 years of age and older) who want to have fun, taste wine and enjoy some of the Okanagan’s greatest wineries. All wine tours include a knowledgeable guide who will make sure you have a safe and enjoyable tour. There will be other like-minded people on the tours with you, providing an opportunity to make new friends and have some fun with others. You will be visiting 4 wineries on your tour. However, depending on a number of factors, we can’t guarantee which wineries they will be. But do know that we want you to see not just the big wineries, but to also experience some of the hidden gems the valley has to offer.
Types of Wine Tours
Open Wine Tours
This is our standard tour package, you pick an area that you would like to see and book your seat. Wine Tours will stop at wineries described in the tour itinerary. We will take a break for lunch somewhere convenient to the tour route, not all lunch stops will be at a winery but don’t worry we know what are the best places. The number of people on the tour will depend on number of bookings and the seating of the assigned vehicles.
Private Wine Tours
Private wine tours are similar to pre-set tours, except that you and your party have the bus and the tour guide all to yourselves. You will be visiting 4 wineries on your tour. Wine tastings are not private, but if you want a private tasting, those arrangements must be made well in advance of your tour, because availability is limited and an extra fee will be charged. We have a fleet of four tour vehicles to transport our guests on their wine tour. There are two Mercedes vans that each accommodates up to 11 guests, plus an additional 17-passenger van and a 21-passenger bus. All our vehicles are clean, air conditioned, well-maintained and designed for tour groups. During the week, you are likely to be assigned one of the Mercedes vehicles. However, on weekends, we have to use our entire vehicle fleet to handle the volume of guests.
